WooCommerce online store development
I build WordPress online stores with WooCommerce for small businesses that want to present products and take orders online. We start with your products, customers and sales process. We agree the product structure, payment and shipping needs before development, so the features required for launch are clear.
Start with the product structure
We discuss product numbers, categories, variations and the information customers need before buying. That might include size, material, dimensions or another attribute relevant to your products. I use this to plan catalogue and product pages. The proposal states the scope of photography, descriptions and initial product entry.
The whole journey matters: from category and product pages to the cart, checkout and order confirmation. I adapt layouts to different screens so customers can complete these steps on a phone. Design decisions follow the agreed content and the needs of your store.
What is included in E-commerce, from €1499?
- A WooCommerce store with an agreed product structure.
- Payment system integration and shipping settings within the agreed scope.
- Cart, checkout and responsive design.
- SEO and security basics.
- Administration training so you know how to manage products and orders.
The final price depends on the catalogue, languages, integrations and additional features. We discuss the domain, hosting, paid licences, payment service charges and other third-party fees separately unless the proposal says otherwise. Compare all starting packages on the services page.
Payment and shipping options
We choose the payment provider, delivery methods and countries around your business. Before committing to an integration, I check its compatibility and access requirements. The store owner handles the provider’s contract, registration and fees. Accounting, inventory and other external systems are not automatically included; their feasibility and cost are assessed separately.
What should you prepare for our conversation?
It helps to know the approximate number of products, their variations, target countries and preferred shipping methods. We also agree who supplies images, descriptions, terms of sale and other legal information. If you haven’t made these decisions yet, we can identify what needs preparing before launch during our first conversation.
If you plan to sell in several languages, we discuss product translations, language management and information for each market separately. Country, currency and tax settings follow the trading requirements you provide. These decisions need to be clear before we finalise the development scope.
Frequently asked questions
Will I be able to add products myself?
Yes. WooCommerce lets you manage products and orders through the administration area. Training covers the agreed tasks for your store. Bulk imports and complex product variations are discussed as a separate scope.
Can you update an existing online store?
Yes. I first assess the current system, products and integrations. Migration options depend on the existing platform and need to be checked separately. See website redesign for more on working with an existing site.
What happens after launch?
I hand over the agreed administration information. Further updates, backups and checks can be arranged through WordPress maintenance. Building the store and managing day-to-day sales are separate tasks.
